REGULAR BUS STOP PICK-UPS - NEW JERSEY / NEW YORK
UNAUTHORIZED STUDENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON ANY BUS AT ANY TIME
Being picked up on a route that has not been assigned to you for pick up, not following the
directives of the bus driver / company, or trying to get on another bus to go home (may be with
or to a friend’s house)…. NOT ALLOWED
If the bus company has contracted with your parents for an AM transportation Route ONLY….
getting on the PM bus to go home is NOT ALLOWED. (The driver must have your name on the
student list to enable him/her to transport you)
The school and/or the bus company must know where each student is. If you have made your
own arrangements to put your child on a bus being picked up in another town…the Transportation Department in the school office should be notified, etc.
In order to maintain the routing schedule, students must be at their bus stop
ten minutes before the scheduled arrival time of the bus. Bus drivers will not be able to wait
for students who leave their home to walk to the bus stop when they see the bus coming
down the road toward the bus stop.
At the dismissal time of 2:05pm the students should not delay, but leave the building promptly
to get on their assigned bus to go home.
Students should always be observant enough to know what the name of the bus
company is, the number of the bus, who their regular bus driver is, and the faces and/or
names of the students that they ride with on a daily basis.
If a student has discontinued taking their scheduled bus for any reason, parents
should notify the bus company and the AHA Transportation Coordinator,
(201) 768-7822 Ext. 200 in the Main Office.
