MEET ELIZABETH

Elizabeth showcases her formidable athletic skills as captain of both the AHA Basketball Team and the Spring Track & Field Team. She was State Group Champion in the triple jump, State Sectional Champion in the 100m hurdles, and was named Most Valuable Athlete for 2016. She recently traveled to Australia to compete against Australians and New Zealanders in the 100m hurdles, the high jump, and the triple jump. On the court, Elizabeth made First Team All-Division in 2015 and 2016 and earned this year’s Most Valuable Player title. Elizabeth shares her enthusiasm for sports by teaching basketball basics to children in the Basketball City program. Elizabeth is consistently named to the AHA Honor Roll. She is currently studying anatomy and physiology, sports medicine, and advanced Spanish – and is pursuing her Girl Scout Gold Award. Elizabeth is active with the Black & Hispanic Cultural Society, Art for the Community, the POTS Soup Kitchen, and the Saint Aloysius Learning Clinic for children. Her work experience includes assisting nurses in the Mount Sinai Hospital Geriatric Clinic. Elizabeth says she is well prepared for college thanks to the academic, social, and spiritual skills she has developed at AHA.

“My experience at AHA has been an unforgettable one. Family is the best word I can use to describe AHA. There is a sense of understanding that all of the students and faculty have for one another, AHA will always have a special place in my heart.”
