Cooperative Admissions Examination (COOP)
Friday, November 11, 2016
Eighth grade students seeking admission to a Catholic High School must take the COOP examination. Holy Angels is a testing site, but students are not required to take the test here in order to apply to the school. Priority is given to students who list Holy Angels as their first or second choice on the COOP exam - our school code is 801! However, only first choice applicants will be considered for academic scholarships.
Registration forms and additional information can be found at www.coopexam.org.
Holy Angels welcomes walk-ins on the day of the COOP until all seats are filled. Please arrive at 7:30am to ensure walk-in admission to the exam. The cost of the walk-in test is $85 ($60 test fee + $25 walk-in fee) in the form of cash or money order only payable to MCS. Please visit www.coopexam.org for more information.
Date: TBD (Archdiocese of New York)
Date: TBD (Diocese of Brooklyn/Queens)
Eighth grade students residing in New York City may take the TACHS Entrance Exam. Holy Angels does not have a TACHS ID number. Please indicate on your application if you will be taking the TACHS exam in lieu of the COOP so we may obtain your scores.
Registration forms and additional information can be found at www.tachsinfo.org.
Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT)
Out of state and international students may opt to take the SSAT in place of the COOP. This exam can be taken in your home state or country. Please indicate on your application if you will be taking the SSAT exam in lieu of the COOP.
