Theater Productions

Auditions are held each semester and the curtain rises annually on a fall drama and spring musical production in the AHA Theater. Students find “leading roles” not only on the stage, but as a Student Director, Student Choreographer or Student Stage Manager and all shadow professionals in the field to learn the craft first hand. Academy students have been nominated and have won multiple theatre awards through the Montclair State University Theatre Night Awards, Papermill Playhouse Rising Star Program and Metropolitan High School Theatre Awards.

Director Katie Collins won both the Metro and the Rising Star Award for Outstanding Achievement in Direction. Eva Zazzali (’25) received her Metro for Outstanding Performance in a Supporting Role. Joe Lizzi of Saint Joseph Regional High School won his Metro for Outstanding Acting Performance.
