What is the AHA Fashion Show?
The AHA Fashion Show is a longstanding Holy Angels tradition. All seniors are invited to model in the show but they are also welcome to purchase a ticket and attend to watch the show if they do not want to model. The event includes a cocktail hour with a cash bar, tricky tray basket auction, festive luncheon and fashion show.
Who should attend?
This is a fun event for the whole family: mothers, dads, daughters, grandmothers and friends. Seniors who model do not sit at the tables with their parents and they will be served a hot breakfast buffet when they arrive for rehearsal. They will attend the cocktail reception & tricky tray auction with you and then will need to line up for the show.
How much are the tickets?
Tickets are $100 per guest ($65 for children 12 and under) until November 8th and increase to $125 per adult and $75 per child on November 9th. You may also sponsor a table for 10 at a reduced price of $900. This ticket option is available only until November 8th. No reservations will be accommodated after the November 19th RSVP deadline. Seniors who model will be required to purchase a modeling ticket for $50 when they complete their modeling contract. They will receive instructions on this process in school.
May I purchase auction tricky tray tickets in advance?
Due to NJ gaming regulations, we are not permitted to sell tickets online. However, you may reserve yours online and we will charge your account the day of the event should not only to save money ($25 per bundle) but to save time at the event. Your tricky tray tickets will be available at check-in.
Will I sit with my daughter who is modeling?
No, but you will have time together. Seniors arrive at the venue at 11:00 a.m. to do a run-through of the show and to have their brunch. They then join their guests for the reception during which there is a fun tricky tray auction featuring baskets and prizes at various price points. They will then dress and prepare for the show as you are taking your seats in the ballroom.
Is this event a fundraiser?
Yes ~ This year’s proceeds will be directed to our Scholarship & Financial Aid programs. Thank you for your support.
What will my daughter wear?
Fashions will be generously provided by The Fig Leaf, Suite 201, The Marigold Boutique, Threads, Suite 201, and Seven + Seven. Garments are loaned to the models for the event free of charge. Students are only responsible for purchasing them if they are damaged in some way and cannot be sold by the store. Models must bring their own shows and accessories.
How can I support this event?
There are many ways you can show your support this event. Please consider donating an item from our Gift Registry. It is fast and easy and your gift will be mailed directly to the school. We are also looking for families or groups of families to donate themed baskets for the auction. All donations are due by October 1, 2021. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact events@holyangels.org
I am a new parent at AHA and really don’t know anyone yet. Should I still attend?
Absolutely yes!! If you like, we can seat you with parents of your daughter’s class or neighbors from your town. Just let us know when you register.
What to wear?
While this is not a formal affair, smart business or cocktail attire is suggested. Seniors typically wear a nice outfit of their own during the earlier part of the event before modeling.
May I sit with my friends?
Yes! Simply indicate your seating preferences when you register online. We regret that this may not be possible for last minute registrants but we will make every effort to accommodate you.
What types of items will be auctioned off?
There will be approximately 100 tricky tray auction items comprised of a variety of merchandise, such as handbags, jewelry, kitchenware and gift cards to various local restaurants, spas and salons.
