Investing in your daughter’s future.

When looking at a high school, the primary focus should be finding the school that best matches a student’s educational goals. We recognize that cost and financial assistance are important considerations.


Follow this link for information regarding tuition and fees, financial aid criteria, and application process. In addition to our financial aid program, AHA is proud to announce the following scholarship opportunities for students:

Mother Caroline Scholarship

This scholarship is named in honor of Mother Caroline Friess, SSND, who led the School Sisters of Notre Dame to the United States in 1847. This 4-year scholarship is for students entering Grade 9 who have demonstrated academic excellence in school and on the Upper Level SSAT.


All applicants are automatically considered for a Mother Caroline Scholarship during application review. Students who are awarded a Mother Caroline Scholarship will receive written notification from the Finance Office in mid-January. Mother Caroline Scholarship recipients must maintain a yearly average of 90%.

Angel Achievement Awards


Reflecting our commitment to empower each young woman to reach the fullness of her potential, we are pleased to offer the following award opportunities to celebrate student talent and passion. These awards are offered to incoming ninth graders and are a renewable $2,000 award granted to incoming freshmen. Applicants are limited to one award submission per student. Angel Achievement Award deadline is December 1.

  • Leadership Award: Outstanding leadership in the area of service to others.

  • Spirituality and Service Award: Outstanding humility and compassion in serving others.

  • Fine Arts Award: Demonstrated excellence in art.

  • Performing Arts Awards:

    • Instrumental – Demonstrated excellence in music.

    • Vocal – Demonstrated excellence in vocal performance.

Sister Mary Nonna Dunphy Scholarship


Each year, scholarships are awarded to 10th-12th graders in memory of our foundress, Sister Mary Nonna Dunphy. Students are invited to apply for this scholarship based on their academic record and faculty recommendation. These partial scholarships are awarded on academic excellence, leadership, character, service, and an interview with the scholarship committee.

Parents/Guardians of students from low income families currently or planning to enroll in a Newark Archdiocesan school (Catholic schools within Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union counties) are eligible to apply. These four-year scholarships are available to students entering their freshman year of high school or college who meet the following eligibility requirements: Italian heritage (25% minimum), financial need (see application for specifics), academic excellence, and service to school and community. Families should explore additional civic organizations for scholarship opportunities, including but not limited to (eg. Rotary Club, Knights of Columbus, Elks Club); local depository banks, parents’ employers, places of worship awards, etc.
