Born in Paris, Catherine Korvin immigrated to the U.S. with her husband. She has also lived in Tunisia and Morocco. She spent her first year in the U.S. in Ithaca, while her husband was studying at Cornell Law School. Before joining AHA in 2005, she taught French at the Alliance Francaise and at Rutgers, Newark, and worked as an information professional/researcher in a government agency and a corporate library, and as the editor of a multilingual, public policy and international relations database. Outside of work, AHA’s librarian is an avid reader of world news and novels. She enjoys genealogical research, traveling, visiting art museums, cooking, learning about various world cultures, and tasting their cuisines.
