Faith and Service
Community service as a requirement for graduation is rooted in the gospel call of love and service. It is also deeply embedded in the goals and philosophy of the Academy of the Holy Angels.
Holy Angels commits itself to an environment of Christian community based on an active faith in God. Campus Ministry assures a program that values reflection, personal and liturgical prayer, and Christian action in the form of service to others.
Holy Angels commits itself to an awareness of the needs of the poor and a responsibility to effect change on their behalf. A well-integrated community service program assures that each student shares actively in service to the wider community, especially to those with the greatest need.
Encouraging community service reinforces the belief that helping others is integral to a gospel lifestyle. Service activities also provide opportunities for students to share their gifts.
