A Beautiful Day on the Course in Support of Holy Angels

The Holy Angels community came together for a memorable day of golf, friendship, and celebration at the annual Academy of the Holy Angels Golf Outing & Athletic Hall of Fame Induction on Monday, September 14, at Montammy Golf Club in Alpine, New Jersey.

 

With picture-perfect weather and a beautiful course as the backdrop, parents, alumnae, faculty and staff, friends, and members of the greater Holy Angels community joined together in support of AHA Athletics. From the first tee to the evening celebration, the day was filled with camaraderie, friendly competition, and plenty of Angel spirit.

 

The success of the event would not have been possible without the extraordinary dedication of event chairs Michelle O’Keefe and Ceres Ruzich. Their countless hours of organizing, planning, and coordinating every detail helped create an incredible experience for everyone in attendance. Holy Angels extends its sincere gratitude to Michelle and Ceres for their commitment to making this year’s outing such a success.

 

Throughout the day, guests also had the opportunity to participate in an exciting silent auction featuring an impressive collection of prizes. Concert tickets, a golf bag, a new driver, a YETI cooler, foursomes at exclusive golf courses, and many more sought-after items kept the bidding lively as guests competed for their favorites while supporting Holy Angels Athletics.

 

Following an afternoon on the course, the celebration continued with dinner and the Holy Angels Athletic Hall of Fame Induction, honoring two individuals whose connections to Holy Angels have made a lasting impact on the school community: Kerry Ann Flahive, past PAA President and longtime supporter of Holy Angels, and Ashley Hess, the most decorated tennis player in Holy Angels history.

 

Both honorees shared heartfelt remarks reflecting on what Holy Angels has meant to them throughout their lives. Their speeches spoke not only to their own experiences, but also to the friendships, family connections, and lasting sense of community that have grown from their time at AHA. It was a fitting conclusion to a day centered on celebrating the people who make Holy Angels Athletics and the greater Angel community so special.

 

Holy Angels is incredibly grateful to everyone who golfed, attended dinner, participated in the silent auction, volunteered, donated, sponsored the event, or otherwise helped make the day possible. The generosity of our community continues to strengthen the athletic experience for current and future generations of Angels.
