Each year, of our various ensembles engage in community outreach, and although prizes and awards are important, the goal of our student musicians is to bring the joy of music to others which can be so much more important. Membership in the Academy Orchestra allows the students the opportunity to develop individual musical artistry and ensemble skills and promotes a life-long enjoyment and appreciation of music. Handbell Choir is available at both Middle School and Upper School levels. The Academy offers many opportunities for instrumentalists to pursue their ambitions and develop their artistry by immersing themselves in our many ensembles. Students may choose to participate in the Academy Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra (audition required), Handbell Choir and Jazz Ensemble, in addition to collaborating with peers to form small chamber groups. Performance opportunities are frequent, and our ensembles have received “superior” ratings from regional competitions.
