Transfer Students Application

The application process is completely online and begins with the creation of an account in our Blackbaud online community portal. Once created, a parent or student may submit the application and non-refundable application fee. A checklist will populate after the application is processed where parents and students can manage the application process. Applicant Portal

All transfer applicants are required to complete a shadow visit. Shadow visits can only be scheduled once the application is submitted and processed. Call the Admissions Office to schedule a date.

All applicants are required to take the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT). This test is used to determine academic readiness for AHA’s curriculum as well as course level placement for a student’s first year. AHA only accepts one score report per applicant and students are discouraged from taking the SSAT more than once. To learn more about the SSAT and to register for a test, please visit www.ssat.org.

Applicants may register for one of these exam dates. Registration requires an access code that will be provided to you in the confirmation email after submitting the admissions application. Academic accommodations are not available on these test dates.

Additional testing options include: Computer-Based SSAT at Home or Computer-Based Testing at a Prometric Testing Center. Testing accommodations available for students with disabilities. This is a wonderful opportunity for the Admissions Committee to get to know our applicants and the achievements they have accomplished. The AHA Recommendation Form is only available through the Applicant Portal. Three separate recommendation forms are required and must be completed by:

1. A current English teacher

2. A current math teacher

3. The principal/head of school or guidance counselor

Hard copy letters and emails are not accepted.

A personal interview may be required. You will be notified should this requirement apply to you.
