Angels’ Early Acceptances Include Ivy League, International Institutions

Seniors at the Academy of the Holy Angels have gained early acceptance to an impressive array of colleges and universities, including international and Ivy League institutions. The AHA Office of Academic and College Counseling reports that 72 percent of this year’s graduating class earned admission to their first-choice schools, including The American University of Paris, Baylor, Bucknell, Dartmouth, Princeton, Villanova, and Yale.

So far, Angels have been offered $4.5 million in scholarships in recognition of their service, academic, athletic, and artistic accomplishments. This figure is expected to increase in the coming months, as seniors continue to receive acceptance letters and financial grants.

The Academy’s graduates have been welcomed into renowned institutions of higher education for 142 years. Angels benefit from AHA’s rigorous, award-winning STREAM education and expert guidance. Alumnae are recognized as responsible, self-reliant, well-rounded women who are prepared for college.

Founded by the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1879, the Academy of the Holy Angels is the oldest private girls’ school in Bergen County. While AHA is steeped in Catholic tradition, this prestigious school serves young women from many cultural and religious backgrounds. Many alumnae go on to study at some of the nation’s best universities, earning high-ranking positions in medicine, government, law, education, public service, business, arts, and athletics. AHA’s current leaders continue to further the SSND mission to provide each student with the tools she needs to reach the fullness of her potential—spiritually, intellectually, socially, and physically, by offering a first-rate education in a nurturing environment where equal importance is placed on academic excellence, character development, moral integrity, and service to others.
