Varsity Tennis Repeats as Bergen County Champions

Holy Angels had five finalists and four flight winners, showcasing the team’s exceptional depth and talent.

First Singles: Junior Jaime Carlin captured her second county title, defeating Bergenfield’s Jazmine Natividad (6-3, 6-4). Carlin previously won as a freshman and was a finalist last year.

Second Singles: Freshman Emily No impressed in her county debut, cruising past Bergen Tech’s Olivia Lai (6-2, 6-1) to claim the title.

Third Singles: Sophomore Avery Chang earned the third singles crown with a commanding 6-2, 6-0 victory over Ridgewood’s Anya Lambert. Chang won the first doubles championship last year and now adds a singles title to her resume.

First Doubles: Seniors Mia Custodio and Norah Park rallied for a 2-6, 6-3, (10-4) win over Bergen Tech, securing the flight championship. Custodio has now won three first doubles titles, this year with Park as her partner.

Second Doubles: Senior Francesca Rigoli and sophomore Chloe Jiaravanon battled through a tough final before falling just short to Bergen Tech in a three-set tiebreak (0-6, 6-4, 9-11).
Under Coach Meaghan Williams, this championship marks the fourth Bergen County Tournament title in the last five years and further cements their reputation as one of the premier tennis programs in North Jersey. With veteran leaders and rising stars alike, Holy Angels continues to shine both on and off the court.
