Service and Awareness Days
Two days a year regular classes are put aside as students participate in special formational opportunities. On Service Day, students are involved in meaningful service to others and to the earth. Awareness Day gives students an additional opportunity to move beyond the classroom and engage in discussions on a variety of topics confronting today’s youth. Dynamic speakers from the local community, area service agencies and environmental groups contribute to this impactful day.
Service Day
Each year AHA dedicates a day, when as a community, we focus our hearts and minds on service. Students, faculty and staff spend the day working at more than a dozen locations including food banks, homes for at-risk mothers, daycare centers, nursing homes and environmental centers.
“Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.” Matt 25:40
