Celebrating 14 National Merit Scholarship Honors
Holy Angels proudly announces that two members of the Class of 2026, Christina Hur and Sarah Kim, have been named National Merit Scholarship Finalists. These exceptional students are among the top 1% of performers in the nation, recognized for their outstanding academic achievements and performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). As Finalists, Christina and Sarah will have the opportunity to advance in the competition for National Merit Scholarships, which represent some of the most prestigious academic awards for high school students in the United States.
In addition, 12 Angels have been honored as National Merit Commended Students for the 2025-2026 school year. These students are recognized for their impressive academic performance and are among the top 50,000 scorers nationwide: Sophia Smith, Lucia McClure, Kelly Vaughan, Norah Park, Roumei Li, Samantha Dipad, Alyssa Finch, Sophia Emmi, Eleanor Finnegan, Ambher Hazratti, Ava Sung, and Kaitlyn Zheng.
We are tremendously proud of Christina, Sarah, and all of our commended students. Their dedication to academic excellence reflects the mission and spirit of Holy Angels, where we encourage our students to lead with integrity, intellectual curiosity, and compassion. These recognitions highlight the Academy of the Holy Angels’ long-standing commitment to academic excellence, preparing young women not only for college but for leadership and service in the world.
