Meet Gabrielle
Gabrielle (’25) is an aspiring pediatrician who appreciates how her Holy Angels education challenges her academically and spiritually. In July 2023, this responsible, hardworking Angel represented the Academy at the National Student Leadership Conference at Duke University, where she immersed herself in the study of medicine and health care. NSLC allowed Gabrielle to enjoy a preview of medical school. She toured medical facilities, practiced suturing and other essential skills, worked on a public health media campaign, and learned the steps necessary to make an accurate clinical diagnosis.
She also gained health care experience at CareOne Nursing Home. Gabrielle danced, played tennis and trivia games, and created artwork with the residents. Every day, she visited each resident’s room with the daily newspaper. Gabrielle also took the residents on walks around the building and helped serve and cut their food.
At Holy Angels, she digs deeper into her future career by participating in Angels in Medicine, Operation Smile, and the Red Cross Club. She also explores a variety of other interests through active involvement in the Black and Hispanic Cultural Society, Light the Candle, Equality Now, and the American Sign Language Club.
Gabrielle is a knowledgeable, approachable Angel Ambassador who hosts prospective students at Angel Showcase Day and Angel for the Day programs. In addition, she shares her firsthand knowledge of AHA at Back to School Night and Open House, where she leads tours and answers questions about daily life at Holy Angels. She has also served as a greeter at the upper school’s graduation exercises.
She participated in AHA’s 2023 International Night, and recently volunteered for the PitCCh In Foundation’s Backpack Giveaway.
Gabrielle enjoys a variety of pursuits, including science, technology, and film editing. Her artistic pursuits include drawing and acting. She has appeared at the OLMC Odyssey Theater/Bergen PAC, and at the Academy. Gabrielle lent her talents to the 2022 dinner theater production that was staged in the Student Commons while the auditorium was being renovated, and just played a leading in AHA’s latest production.
Gabrielle is adept at managing her time. In addition to contributing to school organizations and keeping up with a busy schedule that includes Advanced Placement U.S. History and Spanish IV, she still finds time to babysit. Of course, she always maintains the excellent GPA that has kept her on the Principal’s List since 2021.

- Her favorite book is “The Inheritance Games” by Jennifer Lynn Barnes.

- Her favorite cafeteria food is beef nachos.
“My experience at Holy Angels has brought me a sense of community and spiritual fulfillment. I have created a long-lasting sisterhood with many of the Angels here at AHA. I have grown as a person and learned to put myself out there. For example, I picked theater arts as my elective last year and it became one of my favorite classes because of the many friends I made and all the fun acting activities.”
