Angel Awarded Prestigious O’Toole Family Presidential Scholarship from Villanova University

The Academy of the Holy Angels is proud to announce that Rachel Lee ’26 has been named a recipient of the highly prestigious O’Toole Family Presidential Scholarship from Villanova University. Rachel is one of just two students selected nationwide for this exceptional opportunity.

The O’Toole Family Presidential Scholarship is awarded annually through Villanova’s partnership with the Scholarship Fund for Inner-City Children (SFIC). This full-ride scholarship covers tuition, room, board, books, and institutional fees for four years (eight consecutive semesters) of undergraduate study at Villanova University.

Nominees for the scholarship must be academically high-achieving scholars who demonstrate strong leadership skills and the potential for future development. After being nominated by their school, students are invited to complete a formal application and submit an essay. Finalists are then invited to Villanova’s campus for in-person interviews, which were held in late April.

Rachel distinguished herself through every step of this rigorous selection process. Her academic record, leadership qualities, and thoughtful contributions during the on-campus interview impressed the scholarship committee and ultimately earned her this extraordinary honor.

As part of the scholarship requirements, Rachel will apply to Villanova University under the Early Decision I deadline this fall.
