Anca Selaru

Anca brings a rich background in education to the Academy of the Holy Angels. She holds a B.A. in English and Psychology and an M.S. in Humanistic Multicultural Professional Studies. Her career began in upstate New York, followed by nearly a decade in Romania, where she taught at the American International School of Bucharest as well as some of the country’s top elite schools. After returning to the U.S. to reunite with family, she taught high school at the Passaic Arts and Sciences Charter School.

Outside of the classroom, she enjoys hiking, tennis, skiing, reading, and traveling. At AHA, she is especially excited to work with the middle school students, guiding them through literary analysis, lively discussions, creative projects, and the joys of writing.

Passionate about the transformative power of education, she sees teaching as an incredible opportunity to shape young minds and prepare them for a bright future. She is thrilled to join the Holy Angels community and looks forward to collaborating with students, families, and colleagues alike.
