Welcoming Prospective Families at Holy Angels’ Fall Open House

This past weekend, the Academy of the Holy Angels proudly welcomed hundreds of prospective families to experience our 145-year legacy of academic excellence, leadership, and community. The Open House offered an exciting opportunity for families to visit our beautiful campus, explore our top-tier academic and extracurricular programs, and meet the people who bring our school to life.

Future Angels, along with their families, toured the campus, led by student ambassadors, to visit classrooms and labs, explore our state-of-the-art facilities, and witness firsthand the enriching environment that AHA offers. They engaged with our expert faculty and staff to ask important questions and learn more about our programs. They also had the opportunity to meet our coaches and athletes to get a glimpse of our talented teams. Current students shared insights on student life at AHA and the extensive range of opportunities for student involvement and leadership both in and out of the classroom. From studying abroad at Oxford to earning a mini MBA to performing in Orchestra and/or Dance, with over 70 clubs and organizations to choose from, there’s truly something for every student!

Parents had the chance to interact with current AHA families and alumnae, learning more about how Holy Angels prepares students for lifelong success from the source. Our 145-year history of fostering well-rounded, confident young women was on full display as Chloe Rodriguez ‘25 spoke to the crowd about her experiences at Holy Angels. Chloe, who will graduate this spring, recounted her powerful journey and the community that supported her along the way.

In Chloe’s speech, she proclaims, “I needed to be a part of a supportive and caring community. I found that at AHA. Teachers prioritize helping each student reach their full potential; they challenge and stimulate our minds, setting us up for future success.”

With a dynamic mix of academics, athletics, arts, and extracurricular programs, the Academy of the Holy Angels continues to offer a unique and empowering educational experience. We are excited about the future as we continue to build on our rich heritage and inspire the next generation of women leaders.

“We were thrilled to meet so many bright and eager young women who are excited about becoming part of the Holy Angels family,” said Jean Miller, Principal. “It’s always inspiring to see how much interest there is in the incredible opportunities available here.”

Founded by the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1879, the Academy of the Holy Angels is the oldest private girls’ school in Bergen County. While AHA is steeped in Catholic tradition, this prestigious school serves young women from many cultural and religious backgrounds. AHA’s current leaders continue to further the SSND mission to provide each student with the tools she needs to reach the fullness of her potential—spiritually, intellectually, socially, and physically, by offering a first-rate education in a nurturing environment where equal importance is placed on academic excellence, character development, moral integrity, and service to others.
