Upper School Admissions

The application process is completely online and begins with the creation of an account in our Blackbaud online community portal. Once created, a parent or student may submit the application and non-refundable application fee. A checklist will populate after the application is processed where parents and students can manage the application process. Click here to apply.

All applicants are required to complete an Angel for a Day shadow visit or attend an Open House in the fall. To learn more about dates and options available, please click here.

All applicants are required to take either the HSPT or the SSAT. These tests are used to determine academic readiness for AHA’s curriculum. AHA only accepts one score report per applicant.

Additional test information will be available in the applicant portal after your application is processed. 

Applicants must upload final report cards from grades 6 and 7 and the first report card from grade 8, as soon as it is available, to the Applicant Portal. We do not accept hard copies or emailed academic records.

All applicants must respond to the personal essay prompt on the checklist in the applicant portal. 

This is a wonderful opportunity for the Admissions Committee to get to know our applicants and the achievements they have accomplished. The AHA Recommendation Form is only available through the applicant portal and must be completed by a current teacher, counselor or principal. Hard copy letters and emails are not accepted.

A personal interview may be required. You will be notified should this requirement apply to you.
